This drawing shows the feed rates I get using a 15 tooth gear I modified for this purpose. I started out with a 20 tooth but I like the feeds I get with the 15T better. I now use this over the original two 80T gear method. It also shows the threads I can get with the same setup by changing the lead screw gear. For the alternate thread setup I have to change the 15T-50T gears to a 30T gear. That gives me all the different standard non-metric threads I normally make. (and many I have never made) This is about as quick and easy as I can make it on this machine.
